Dennis Thompson
Dennis Thompson, owner of Adventure Kayak Florida, is a life-long resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He has been exploring the tributaries of the St. John’s River by kayak for over 20 years, led numerous day and overnight camping trips, holds an American Canoe Association (ACA) Level 2 Coastal Kayak Instructor Certification with an Adaptive Paddling Endorsement, and serves on the City of Jacksonville’s Tourist Development Council.
In May 2015, Dennis completed a 16-day 310 mile paddle along the entire length of the St. John’s River. Dennis has a passion for introducing children and adults to the outdoors through kayaking, and specializes in adaptive kayaking for people with disabilities.
